Water Quality Best Management Practices

Here are some results of BMP in action, silty mud runoff

In this photo, the 3 inch crushed rock is filled with dirt and mud.  It is not clear how this will prevent hazards and nuisance materials from migrating offsite.
If Best Management Practices were difficult to follow, how can we be sure the hazard mitigation process was completed correctly and safely?
Best Management Practices Guide II
Section IV.2 Performance Standards
No measurable increase of sediment in runoff from site

  1. THANK YOU CLEAN FOR YOUR EFFORTS!!!! I want to go to Encinitas Environment Days on June 5 at Cottonwood Park 10AM-4PM to see if OTHERS IN THE COMMUNITY and others in our Goobernment GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THIS ISSUE. It is only dealing with one of the TOP TEN most toxic pesticides and substances ever manufactured on planet earth.
outlawed here and many other countries Hello? Are you listening? Say amen.
And based upon the discussions recordings and statements in the history books I have heard by "city" officials then and now admit we got a problem...THEY KNOW!!! Gee, you have to form a group called CLEAN because Leucadia has greenhouses, and lots of them (a no-brainer) and it appears that, there exists a very long history of use of many substances in these units (>50yrs) is widely known. The pesticides and chemicals used in these units must be openly discussed and the risks immediately contained.

The "evil black genie in a bottle" was once a widely used bug spray and the black genie has escaped before and has escaped again (due to land development) and spewed this toxin on all peoples. Young and old, moms and dads, on our helpless pets and children and grandparents. The issue must not be 'swept under the carpet' as it seems some persons and agencies are actively trying to do dissuade this issue from the front page because without containment of these facts, tne costs to fix it and the money(ies) involved in soil remediation will be huge.
Who will protect us if the haz-mat team wont look at the genie and the fire dept ignores testing of the soil. The costs and burdeon are considerable. Just look at the photos of Lake Leucadia. Look around at the dead fish and critters in the wetlands recently. The crabs flailing in the surf? And birds at animals at Batiquitos Lagoon gone, sick or dead. The chemicals wash down and everywhere there are others who are affected who must come out because this is a "know-brainer"
PEOPLE DONT KNOW, so please come forth and LET US KNOW. The more PHOTOS, VIDEOS and STATEMENTS from people I talk with the bigger this issue becomes. I found out that ATT SUSPENDED local OPERATIONS SEVERAL TIMES DUE TO SOMETHING AND THEN THE TRUCKS CAME. WHAT IS UP?
I hope the petition will be there at the PARK this Saturday, because I want to sign it, and put it to the officials in person and I think it is very, very, very, important to know if others, especially locals have anything to report like this.
